The history of the brand

Philippe Model was born in 1956 in Sens, in a wealthy family with a passion for culture. His father, the owner of a major company in the tannery industry, and his mother, a woman of innate elegance and refinement, introduced young Philippe to the world of the arts. At only 22, Philippe launched his brand and began collaborating with the most important couturiers of French fashion. Philippe Model's consecration came in the early 1980s with the creation of his first iconic shoe, the Elastique. This model became a symbol of modern femininity and anticipated the revolutionary comfort concept of future sneakers.

Sustainability and urbanism

The brand's first eco-friendly project, in collaboration with ACBC, a leading designer and manufacturer of sustainable products, is LYON. The idea and the name of the project are inspired by Lyon's La Confluence neighborhood, a former brownfield area of the city and protagonist in recent years of a massive urban redevelopment project with a view to sustainable development. With this spirit, Philippe Model Paris is dedicated to the Lyon project, using materials derived from natural substances such as organic cotton and recycled polyester. The Lyon Philippe Model sneaker is presented in two versions. The first version is made of a leather alternative with a 60 percent bio-based content, derived from wheat processing waste, and rebotilia, a 100 percent polyester fabric derived from recycled bottles. The second version features inserts made from GOTS-certified cotton, an organic cotton that requires 90 percent less water use than traditional cotton. For both, the sole is made of re-rubber, a material that contains 10 percent recycled rubber from production waste.

Limited edition and mountain inspiration: ROCX

On the occasion of the Alpine Ski World Championships in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Philippe Model Paris presents ROCX. Derived from the French word "roche," meaning rock, ROCX is a new limited edition men's lifestyle sneaker inspired by the world of trekking and mountains.

Craftsmanship and contemporary design: PRSX

The PRSX is the ultimate expression of the brand's craftsmanship, thanks to the deliberately imperfect and patented sole banding. This men's PRSX sneaker reflects the brand's DNA, where Made in Italy craftsmanship meets innovation. The contemporary design evokes the spirit of the unforgettable 90s, just like the TEMPLE VEAU, a high-fashion sneaker that combines style and comfort.

The sporty-casual and Parisian soul: ROYALE

The ROYALE sneaker represents the brand's sporty-casual and running inspiration, without ever forgetting Philippe Model's Parisian soul. Technicality is guaranteed by the Vibram sole, designed to offer extra stability, as well as heat-sealed and hiking laces. The men's ROCX sneaker is available exclusively in total black.

ANTIBES sneakers

Finally, the ANTIBES sneaker, inspired by vintage racing, reinvents the canons of the running shoe and recalls the fresh and natural style of the French Riviera, with a young and dynamic attitude.
